Jagadguru Kripalu University (JKU), Banara, celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day on 15 August 2026 with dignity and patriotic spirit at the JKU campus, in the presence of Pujya Swami Mukundananda Ji.
Escorted by NCC cadets from PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Mundali, Swamiji was warmly welcomed by the Vice Chancellor of JKU with a traditional garland. He then led the flag-hoisting ceremony alongside the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, and Registrar of JKU, in the presence of faculty and staff.
The National Song, “Vande Mataram,” and the National Anthem, “Jana Gana Mana,” were rendered with due respect, evoking a deep sense of national pride among all present. A gentle shower of rain added a special grace to the morning, making the occasion even more memorable.
